The £100 consultation comes off your treatment in full, and in most cases the tag is removed at that same visit. Book online, no phone call needed.

Anal skin tag removal at Bodyvie starts from £495. Each additional skin tag treated in the same appointment is £100. The New Doctor Consult/Treatment – Anal Skin Tag Removal with Dr Corjos is £100, paid when you book online and redeemable in full against the cost of your treatment. Your appointment is booked as 50 minutes, so where Dr Corjos is satisfied it is appropriate, the tag is assessed and removed at that same visit and you only need to come in once. Your final cost is confirmed following your consultation.

Most clinics publish a single figure with the word from in front of it and leave you to guess what the real number will be. We would rather set out how the price is actually built, so you can work out roughly where you will land before you pick up the phone.

Treatment Cost
New Doctor Consult/Treatment – Anal Skin Tag Removal, 50 minutes £100, redeemable against treatment
Anal skin tag removal – first skin tag From £495
Each additional skin tag, same appointment £100
Final cost Confirmed following consultation

The same pricing applies at our Richmond clinic on Kew Road and at our Belgravia clinic on West Halkin Street.

What you will actually pay

The figures below are totals, not starting points. The £100 consultation is redeemable in full against your treatment, so if you go ahead it costs you nothing on top.

What you need Total you pay
Consultation only, if you decide not to go ahead £100
One skin tag removed From £495
Two skin tags, same appointment From £625
Three skin tags, same appointment From £700

The £100 is paid when you book online and comes off the total. Larger or more awkwardly positioned tags can take longer, which is why these are stated as from figures and why the final number is confirmed once Dr Corjos has examined the area. What will not happen is a different price appearing on the day.

One consultation fee, whether or not you have symptoms. Some clinics operate two tiers, charging considerably more, and sometimes non-refundably, if you mention pain, bleeding or a history of haemorrhoids.

We do not. Every patient sees Dr Corjos on the same terms, and the fee comes off your treatment either way. If your symptoms suggest something that needs a colorectal opinion rather than a removal, he will tell you and advise onward referral at no additional charge, because that assessment is what the consultation is for.

How that compares in London

Published prices for the same procedure at central London clinics start at £750, with multiple or complex tags quoted from £1,350. Consultation fees at those clinics run from £100 to £295, and are not always redeemable against treatment, or are redeemable only if you are treated on the same day.

Ours is £495 for one tag and £700 for three, carried out by a GMC-registered surgeon under local anaesthetic in CQC-registered premises, with a £100 consultation that comes off the treatment in full whenever you decide to go ahead.

The difference is not what is included. It is that we are in Richmond and Belgravia rather than on Harley Street, and that this is twenty to thirty minutes of a surgeon’s time rather than a hospital admission. Figures checked against clinics’ own published prices on 20 September 2026.

What changes the price

How many tags are treated. This is the main factor. The first skin tag is from £495 and each additional tag treated in the same appointment is £100. Treating several in one sitting is considerably cheaper than returning for each one.

The size and position of the tags. Larger tags, or tags in a position that makes removal more involved, can take longer and may affect the quotation.

Whether removal is the right treatment at all. If the examination suggests something other than a simple skin tag, we will say so rather than proceed.

Because of this, we do not quote a final figure over the telephone. Dr Corjos examines the area, counts the tags and gives you an exact price before you decide anything.

What the price includes

  • Your £100 consultation deposit, which comes off the cost of treatment
  • The procedure itself, carried out under local anaesthetic by Dr Vadim Corjos (GMC 7822977)
  • A female chaperone present throughout the examination and the procedure
  • Written aftercare guidance before you leave the clinic
  • Access to the clinic if you have questions during recovery, and a follow-up appointment if one is needed

Will the NHS pay for it?

Bodyvie is a private clinic. Treatment here is paid for by you, and no GP referral is needed to book. The section below is here because it is the question people ask most often before they decide, and we would rather you had a straight answer than went looking for one.

Generally not. NHS commissioning policies treat the removal of benign skin lesions, including anal skin tags, as a procedure that is not routinely funded. Removal is usually only commissioned where there are clinical features that require investigation, rather than because a tag is uncomfortable or difficult to keep clean.

Some areas allow an individual funding request in exceptional circumstances, but these policies generally exclude social, work and personal factors from consideration. In practice, most people who want an anal skin tag removed for comfort or hygiene reasons will be looking at private treatment.

Private medical insurance usually classes the procedure as cosmetic, so it is not normally covered. Check your own policy if you are unsure.

Paying for treatment

The £100 is paid when you book online and is deducted from what you pay on the day. The balance of the consultation, and the cost of the removal itself, are settled at the clinic. Bodyvie Limited is an Appointed Representative of Chrysalis Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and payment options may be available subject to status and to the amount involved. Please ask at your consultation.

Booking discreetly

You can book this yourself online in a few taps, at any hour of the day or night, without a phone call and without explaining yourself to anybody. There are two ways to do it.

Book a doctor consultation if you would like the area assessed, the diagnosis confirmed and a firm price given before you commit to anything. It appears in the booking system as New Doctor Consult/Treatment – Anal Skin Tag Removal. £100, paid when you book online and redeemable in full against your treatment.

Book the procedure itself, listed as Minor Op – Anal Skin Tag Removal, if you already know what you want dealing with. Dr Corjos assesses the area at the start of that appointment and, if removal is appropriate, carries it out there and then. Nothing is ever removed without that assessment.

Either way, the £100 is paid when you book online and redeemable in full against your treatment, or stays on your account as credit if you decide not to go ahead.

For a lot of people the phone call is the part that has been putting this off, sometimes for years. You do not have to make one.

Who performs the procedure

Every anal skin tag removal at Bodyvie is carried out by Dr Vadim Corjos, and the price is the same whichever clinic you choose. What you are paying for is his time, his assessment, and the fact that he will tell you plainly if removal is not the right answer.

“I had a very positive experience with Bodyvie for the removal of a (a*) skin tag in a sensitive area. The doctor was excellent, and the nurse was extremely understanding, polite, and supportive throughout.

The procedure was quick and handled with great professionalism. Despite being a delicate (a*) area, the tag was removed in just a few minutes without any pain or discomfort. Both the doctor and nurse made me feel at ease and treated me with care and respect.

Overall, the treatment was a success, and I would highly recommend this clinic.”

Anal skin tag removal at Bodyvie is performed by Dr Vadim Corjos (GMC 7822977), a cosmetic surgeon with fifteen years of surgical practice across general, trauma and reconstructive surgery, and by no one else. He examines you at consultation, carries out the procedure himself and reviews you afterwards. You are not passed to a therapist or a different practitioner on the day.

Frequently asked questions

How much does anal skin tag removal cost in the UK?

At Bodyvie, anal skin tag removal starts from £495 for the first skin tag, with each additional skin tag treated in the same appointment at £100. Your final cost is confirmed following your consultation, when a personalised quotation is provided. The same pricing applies at our Richmond and Belgravia clinics.

Why can you not give me a price over the phone?

Because the price depends on how many tags are being treated, and how large they are. Dr Corjos examines the area, counts the tags and gives you an exact figure at your consultation, before you commit to anything.

Is it cheaper to have several tags removed at once?

Yes. The first skin tag is from £495 and each additional tag treated in the same appointment is £100, so treating several in one sitting costs considerably less than returning for each one separately.

Does the price include the consultation?

The consultation is the New Doctor Consult/Treatment – Anal Skin Tag Removal with Dr Corjos, £100. Booking online takes a £100 which is deducted from that when you are treated. It is booked separately from the procedure so that you are examined, given a diagnosis and quoted properly before you decide anything.

Can the NHS remove anal skin tags?

Generally not. NHS commissioning policies treat removal of benign skin lesions, including anal skin tags, as not routinely funded, and removal is usually only commissioned where there are clinical features requiring investigation. Some areas allow an individual funding request in exceptional circumstances.

Will my private medical insurance cover it?

Usually not. Insurers generally class anal skin tag removal as a cosmetic procedure, which is typically excluded. Check the terms of your own policy.

Is the price the same at Richmond and Belgravia?

Yes. The same doctor, the same procedure and the same price at both clinics. Choose whichever is easier for you to reach.

Are there any costs added afterwards?

You are given a personalised quotation before treatment goes ahead, so you know the total in advance. Written aftercare guidance is included, and a follow-up appointment can be arranged if one is needed.

Do you charge more if I have symptoms?

No. There is one consultation fee, £100 for the New Doctor Consult/Treatment – Anal Skin Tag Removal, whether or not you have pain, bleeding, swelling or a history of haemorrhoids. Some clinics operate a two-tier system and charge substantially more, sometimes non-redeemably, for the symptomatic route. We do not.

What is the most this could end up costing me?

For a straightforward single tag, £495 for the removal itself, plus the £100 consultation. Each additional tag treated in the same appointment adds £100. If you have several, or they are large, Dr Corjos will give you the exact figure at consultation before you commit to anything.

Is there a charge if you decide not to treat me?

Only the £100 consultation. If your symptoms suggest something that needs a colorectal opinion rather than a removal, we will tell you and advise where to go next. There is no additional assessment fee and no proctoscopy charge.

Do I pay anything on the day beyond the quoted price?

No. You are given a personalised quotation before treatment goes ahead, and that is what you pay. The £100 you paid online is deducted from what you owe for the treatment.

Book a consultation with Dr Vadim Corjos at Richmond or Belgravia and have the area assessed and your exact cost confirmed.
