The treatment is safe and virtually painless. Very small amounts are injected into the target areas. This blocks the impulse from the nerve to the facial muscles, reducing the contractions that cause wrinkles. Following the treatment, the skin over the muscles will look smooth and even, whilst the untreated facial muscles contract normally.
You will only need one treatment of anti-wrinkle injections. However, for your first appointment at Bodyvie, your doctor will administer a more conservative amount of anti-wrinkle injection to gauge how your muscles respond. Seven days after your first treatment, if you feel you still have unwanted movement of wrinkles, we always welcome you back for a top-up appointment within 2 weeks of your initial appointment.
You will notice the full results of your anti-wrinkle injections on averge 7-10 days after your treatment. Results last 3-5 months generally.
