The Silhouette Thread Lift is a non-surgical facelift that combats symptoms of ageing. The treatment is designed to give firmer, smoother skin, fuller cheeks, and a more youthful complexion.

As a minimally invasive alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery, the Silhouette Thread Lift offers discreet and natural-looking results with minimal downtime. The procedure utilises biodegradable anchoring sutures to lift and reposition sagging tissue, effectively reversing the effects of aging. These threads are made of polylactic acid, a substance that naturally boosts collagen production, giving your skin a healthy, radiant glow.

Silhouette threads are equipped with absorbable cones, similar to barbs, which are inserted under a local anesthetic to a depth of about 3-5mm beneath the skin using a fine needle. These threads naturally dissolve over time. Once the suture is in place, your doctor will compress the treated area to manipulate its shape, achieving the desired lifting effect. Excess thread is then trimmed, and the process is repeated on the other side of the face to ensure a balanced appearance.

The regenerative effect of collagen stimulation continues even after the sutures have dissolved, providing extended benefits beyond the initial tightening and lifting effects of the Silhouette Thread Lift. Results are immediately noticeable after treatment and can last up to 18 months.

The Silhouette Thread Lift is an ideal solution for addressing loose and sagging skin on the face and jowls, offering a refreshed and youthful appearance with minimal recovery time.

Benefits of Silhouette Thread Lift

Non-Surgical: No incisions or general anaesthesia required, reducing the risk and recovery time associated with traditional facelifts

Immediate Results: Patients can see an immediate lifting effect, with continued improvement over the following months as collagen production increases.

Minimal Downtime: Most patients can resume their daily activities within a few days.

Natural-Looking Results: The gradual regeneration of collagen ensures that results appear natural and not overly dramatic.

Longevity: Results can last up to 18 months, providing long-term improvement in skin tightness and texture.

Versatility: Can be combined with other treatments such as dermal fillers or Botox for a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

Post-Treatment Care & Recovery

After the procedure, some swelling, bruising, or mild discomfort may occur, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days.

Patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities and facial massages for a couple of weeks to ensure optimal healing. It’s also important to follow any specific post-care instructions provided by your doctor.

If you are looking to rejuvenate your appearance without the commitment of surgery, the Silhouette Thread Lift may be the perfect option for you. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and take the first step towards a more youthful, radiant you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does the treatment involve?

After a small local anaesthetic is administered, the doctor inserts the Silhouette thread suture under the skin, 3-5mm deep. The suture is inserted using a fine needle and held in place with absorbable cones on the thread, like barbs. Once the suture is inserted, your doctor compresses the treated area to manipulate its shape for the desired lifting effect. The excess thread, suture, are cut off. This is repeated on the other side of the face for a balanced effect, and for the number of threads advised by your doctor during your consultation.

How many treatments do I need?

You will only need one treatment to achieve your desired your results.

How quickly will I see results?

"I simply cannot rate this place highly enough. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. All the staff at Body-vie are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Dr Weber is someone with whom I trust implicitly. I went to another local aesthetics clinic before this one for a consultation and walked out feeling disheartened and very confused, I was made to feel like I needed to spend a lot of cash in order to get the desired result.
