Pigmentation Removal
Reduce Unwanted Pigmentation with Laser Treatment
- Erases the appearance of sunspots
- Reverses the signs of sun damage
- Promotes collagen stimulation
After a face-to-face consult with one of our highly experienced therapists, your pigmentation will be assessed and a suitable, bespoke treatment plan will be advised to achieve optimal results for your unique skin. Pigmentation appears as dark patches of skin like sun spots (lentigo), freckles, melasma, post-pregnancy mask or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
The cause of discolouration is most often sun damage, hormonal changes from contraception, pregnancy and hormonal therapies, affecting the cells which control pigment, known as melanocytes.
Our laser treatments emit extremely controlled length and depth pulses to selectively interact with unwanted pigment, also known as melanin. These multiple wavelengths gently exfoliate and remove the pigmented skin, essentially raising the layers of discolouration to the surface of the skin to be eradicated naturally via skin cell turnover.
The laser technology also penetrates the skin to activate its metabolism of skin cells to spark collagen production to restore the skin’s texture.
Treatment varies for each individual depending on how deep or stubborn the pigmentation is, resulting in the choice of laser and the number of treatments advised to accomplish results. To maintain results, it is important to apply SPF, daily, to prevent further exposure to UV rays.

After the cleansing of the skin, your therapist will apply the laser to the treatment area. The laser will emit beams of light targeting unwanted pigment.
After all the pigmentation has been treated, your therapist will apply SPF 50 and advise the avoidance of sun exposure to the treated area for 2 weeks to avoid the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Following treatment, your pigmentation may appear darker before it begins to fade.
The pigmentation treatment requirements vary depending on the skin health, skin type etc. Generally speaking, a course of 3 treatments is required with maintenance sessions to follow, ensuring long term results.
Following treatment, the targeted area might appear a little red and pigmentation might darken. This will quickly return to normal and improvements will be noticeable in the coming weeks.
