Laser skin resurfacing treatment can permanently remove imperfections such as loose skin, fine lines, wrinkles, lesions, acne scarring, stretch marks and skin colouring. Using beams of light, targeted skin layers are vaporised and collagen production is promoted.

The Youlase Multiplatform laser is one of the most advanced skin rejuvenation treatments available. Combines ablative and non-ablative technology. Ablative laser treatment destroys the top layer of skin whilst non-ablative laser penetrates beneath to encourage new cell generation

Laser skin resurfacing can be focused on specific areas such as around the eyes, mouth, whole face, neck, chest, hands and arms. This laser treatment will also stimulate collagen for an anti-ageing effect. Laser skin resurfacing treatment can also be called lasabrasion, laser peel or laser vaporisation.

What makes Youlase so special?

Unlike traditional lasers which use a solid beam, this mixed technology laser uses fractional photothermolysis to generate concentrated microthermal treatment zones in the skin creating columns of thermally denatured skin at a controlled width and depth. The laser beams vaporise damaged skin whilst also kick-starting your body’s natural healing process, which in turn leads to increased collagen production and cell regeneration for fresh glowing skin.

What happens after laser skin resurfacing treatment?

After treatment, the surface of the skin will feel softer and smoother and look brighter. You may also opt for maintenance sessions over the next 3 months to sustain your new radiant glow.

At Bodyvie, fractional technology resurfaces and rejuvenates the skin to treat wrinkles, skin laxity, pigmentation, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, hypertrophic scars, atrophic scars, surgical scars, discoloration and rough skin. By resurfacing your skin with Youlase you will restore a smooth texture of your skin.

If you have lines and wrinkles around your mouth, eyes or forehead, this treatment can noticeably rejuvenate your skin. And, as mentioned, it is perfect for treating other skin conditions such as scarring, acne scarring and pigmentation issues.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does the treatment involve?

After cleansing your skin with Dr Weber’s formulated skincare, your aesthetician will apply a light layer of a topical lidocaine to the area of skin that will be treated which will activate within an hour. After the lidocaine is activated, it will be wiped off and treatment will commence.

Your aesthetician or Dr Weber will apply the laser to the treatment area. You will feel the warmth of the laser as the laser contacts the skin. An assisting aesthetician will apply cool air to the area to ensure a comfortable treatment.

After treatment is complete, SPF50 will be applied to the skin to protect it from UV exposure and to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation from sun exposure. You will be told to avoid the sun for 2 weeks as your skin heals.

How many treatments do I need?

Treatment requirements vary depending on the severity of what is being treated, skin health, skin type etc. Generally speaking a course of 3 treatments is required with maintenance sessions to follow, ensuring long term results.

How quickly will I see results?

Immediately following treatment and over the following 3-5 days, superficial little pixelated scabs might develop. This is the resurfacing process at play and is expected. Once this clears results can be seen in 1-2 weeks with optimal results achieved 3-4 months after each treatment.

"I saw Dr Weber for a private consult following
a misdiagnosis of depression by my GP.
Dr Weber suggested it sounded like perimenopause
and moved me off antidepressants
and on to HRT. I'm back to my old self
and can't thank him enough!"
