Often, your tan disappears to leave in its wake a dehydrated, more lined and uneven complexion, perhaps with the sudden appearance of red veins and larger pores. But it’s not all doom and gloom now that the darker days are here, in fact autumn is the perfect time to rectify sun damage and improve skin for the months ahead. Here’s how…

Zap Damage With Laser Treatments

If you have a suntan or you’re about to go on holiday, we would advise against having a laser treatment as excessive heat and sun exposure makes the skin more sensitive and can lead to pigmentation problems as well as scarring on treated areas. That’s why the autumn and winter months are the best time to get your skin back to its healthiest, when you’re away from the sun.

This advanced laser therapy is a celebrity red-carpet favourite. Dermatologists and skin experts, such as our Medical Director, Dr Andrew Weber, find it achieves excellent results in tackling damaged skin. Not only does it smooth out wrinkles and lumpy scars, it also reduces pore size, fades pigmentation and sunspots. After a course of treatments, skin texture is improved and the complexion rejuvenated. You can find out more about Fraxel by visiting the company website and also check out our devoted blog post.

Below are Dr Andrew Weber’s expert comments on dealing with acne scars with laser, which were featured in the November issue of Aesthetics Journal.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

Highly recommended for revitalising skin and addressing signs of sun damage, IPL really comes into its own when dealing with rosacea. Red veins on the nose and cheeks can be effectively treated with a course of IPL treatments and we are delighted that our practitioners have been able to improve many clients’ rosacea to such an extent that they need only come back for top-ups once or twice a year.

Bodyvie was recently mentioned in top Beauty Editor Nadine Baggott’s YouTube video as the clinic responsible for completely curing her sister’s rosacea. We were thrilled at the results!

great-skin-dealGreat Skin Deal

We recognise that now is the best time to ensure your skin looks its best for the upcoming festive season and so for a limited time we are offering 3 for 2 on Fraxel Laser or IPL Photofacial treatments.

Call us for more details or come along to our clinic for a consultation to discuss your requirements. Quote ‘AUTUMN OFFER’ to experience 3 for 2 on either treatment until 31 January 2017.

Laser Hair Removal

If you want to be permanently hair-free by the warmer months, then we recommend a course of laser hair-removal round about now or early in the new year. Lasers work better when there is a distinction between the colour of the skin and the hair. Due to there being little risk of tanning in winter, there is also less chance of any pigmentation issues arising.

Another good reason to have laser hair removal in colder months is so that you can wrap up and cover any possible redness from treatments. You can find out more about our hair removal treatments

Peel And Refresh

Refreshing the complexion and getting rid of dead cells that can make skin look dreary and dull can be done with facial peels. There are various strengths available and our aestheticians tailor-make treatments for each client, depending on their skin concerns.

A facial peel stimulates cell turnover so that you achieve a fresher, more youthful glow and ensures that skin is best prepared to receive subsequent skincare products, allowing ingredients to penetrate efficiently.

SNEAK PEEK: For optimum results we make sure we work with the highest quality, most effective ingredients in our treatments such as Obagi Blue Peels. And due to the popularity of our skin rejuvenating treatments, we will be bringing out a Signature Peel in the New Year – it’ll be the perfect way to brighten up your complexion for 2017.

So, watch this space and we’ll be bringing you more news soon!  Here’s the lowdown on our current Facial Peels.

I can’t wait to get out of this lockdown and serve myself some great beauty treatments. I’ve been in dire need for one, for soooo long. I really want to go for a peel. Soon hopefully!

I had a peel done at your clinic about two months ago and I am so happy with the results. I feel the winter dried up my skin and resulted in flakey dead cells. I know feel pretty refreshed and my skin has recovered. Definitely ready for the spring.
