Although sweating is a normal bodily function designed to keep us cool, around 1% of us experience very high levels of sweating. The clinical name given to this excessive sweating is Hyperhidrosis. While not harmful to your health, the condition can be incredibly difficult to live with.

Excessive sweating, clinically known as hyperhidrosis, is a common condition that, while not harmful to your health, can be difficult to live with. It often causes anxiety and a lack of self-confidence, especially in social settings. Sweating is, of course, a normal bodily function that helps regulate body temperature, but for many individuals, it can become excessive and disruptive.

One of the most effective treatments for hyperhidrosis involves injecting an anti-wrinkle solution directly into the sweat glands of the affected area, such as the underarms. This works by using a special protein to suppress the apocrine glands that produce sweat.

The treatment is most commonly used to tackle underarm sweating, but it can also be performed on other areas where excessive sweating occurs, including the forehead.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does the treatment involve?

The treatment is administered using very fine needle. “the invisible needle”. Discomfort is very minimal and you might feel a very slight stinging sensation whilst the solution is injected, but any discomfort is not long lasting.

How many treatments do I need?

Only one session is required. Following initial treatment, our doctors offer a two week top up period in which additional product can be administered if there is any further sweating or clamminess.

How quickly will I see results?

Injections for excessive sweating take 5-7 days to take effect on average. Some patients might experience response faster than this.
