Confirmed after consultation
We use regenerative treatments to help the body heal itself naturally. They are often considered for patients who want gradual improvement in skin quality, hydration, texture, elasticity or selected hair concerns.
Regenerative treatments will be planned after consultation at Bodyvie. We assess your skin or scalp and discuss your concerns, explaining which option may be best for you based on your medical history, treatment goals, and expected outcome.
Working with the skin’s repair signals
Regenerative treatments are different from procedures that merely add volume or alter facial structure. They are meant to encourage the treated region to respond naturally over time.
This may include things like platelet-rich plasma, polynucleotides, exosomes, skin boosters or other regenerative options depending on the treatment recommended. Each treatment has a different action but all aim to improve tissue quality, repair activity and a healthier looking skin or scalp condition.
Concerns suited to a regenerative plan
These treatments may be considered when the concern is related to quality rather than structure. This may include:
- Dull or tired-looking skin
- Fine lines and early ageing changes
- Reduced elasticity
- Crepey skin around delicate areas
- Uneven texture
- Dehydrated or thin-looking skin
- Selected scalp or hair concerns
How appropriate it is depends on the area that is being treated and the reason for the concern. “Regenerative therapy alone will benefit some patients, while others may benefit from a combination therapy.
Choosing the right option, not one fixed treatment
Regenerative treatment is not one-size-fits-all. The right choice depends on the condition of your skin or scalp, the area to be treated and the type of improvement you want.
During consultation, Bodyvie will explain the best suited treatment and why. If it does not look as though regenerative treatment will likely provide the result you are looking for, another option may be recommended instead.
Your appointment and preparation
Your practitioner will examine the area, discuss your medical history, medications, previous aesthetic treatments, and any issues you have with healing or sensitivity.
This assessment helps determine that treatment is safe and appropriate. It also helps us to plan the number of sessions, the area to be treated and expected recovery.
Placement, comfort and technique
Before treatment, the skin or scalp is cleansed. If the procedure involves injections or microneedling, a numbing cream can be applied.
The treatment is then applied in the most appropriate manner for the product and area selected. These may include fine injections, controlled skin needling or another clinical delivery technique.
The appointment is usually straightforward and you will be given clear aftercare instructions before leaving the clinic.
The short settling period
You may notice some redness, swelling, tenderness, small bumps or minor bruising after treatment. These effects are usually mild and last a few days.
You may be asked to avoid heat, alcohol, strenuous exercise, make-up, active skincare or touching the treated area for a short period. The precise advice given depends on the treatment performed.
Changes over the following weeks
Regenerative treatments are not an instant fix. Some patients experience early improvement in hydration or freshness, but the main changes usually develop over a few weeks.
For the skin, this may involve a smoother texture, better elasticity or a more refreshed look. If you have a scalp concern, changes may take longer to see, as there is a natural cycle of hair growth. For better results a course of treatments may be advised.
Important safety notes
Side effects may include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, infection, irritation, uneven response or temporary sensitivity.
Results vary from patient to patient. All risks, expected outcomes and alternatives will be discussed prior to treatment.
Doctor-led regenerative care
Bodyvie is a doctor-led clinic, offering medical aesthetics, skin treatments and regenerative options in a clinical setting.
Advice about suitability, recovery and realistic expectations is essential and treatment is only recommended after assessment.
